Abstract

Under the guidance of Professor Phillip Morgan - Research Group Director: Human Factors Excellence (HuFEx) at Cardiff University; Director of Research: Cardiff University Centre for Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Human Machine Systems (IROHMS); and Lead: Human Factors & Cognitive Science and Transportation Themes – Cardiff University Digital Transformation Innovation Institute (DTII) - I am a 3rd year PhD student researching how autonomous vehicles would be blamed and trusted (or not) in the event of a cyber attack using methods from both applied and experimental psychology. I am also examining how the initial loss of trust in such technology could be countered by human-computer interactions with the human-machine interface and wider vehicle design.
